God wants to do what is best for us, but many of us have steered ourselves away from coming before Him because we thought we knew what was best for us. But, can we really run from God?
David prayed to God in Psalms “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
There’s no place to run to
It doesn’t matter where we are or what we are doing and even thinking, God is there. He knows everything! Think about that, there’s no place to run from Him. Even when we think we have everything covered He knows better. God’s attributes are omnipresent and omniscient, and He knew all about us even before we were formed in our mother’s womb. He knew what our lifespan would be even before the first day of our lives. Why? Because He has a plan for us, but that plan will only work for us if we are obedient to His will.
We all have spent a lot of time in the past trying to run from God. Are you doing that right now? As a child of God, you need to stop immediately and quit wasting your life and stop running. We really aren’t living at our optimum when running. It’s only when we are living in His will that we will really be living.
We cannot run from God. He still knows who you really are, not what you pretend to be in front of others, but who you really are. Others see only the outward side of you, but God knows the inner you, He knows your heart.
God knows everything about you
Everything may not be a beautiful bed of roses, but true peace and happiness can only be found when we are in His will. He is the light of the world, so we need to return to that light and begin again to live under His and according to the plan He has for us.
If you’re not a child of God, do you really think He knows nothing about you or what you’re going through? Do you really think He doesn’t care? Whether you are His child or not, Jesus says: “Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7 NASB)
He would never have died and rose again so you could have eternal life with Him if you were not important to God. He would never have given so much for those who call upon His Son Jesus to be saved if you were not important to him.
There two judgment seats coming
There is a Judgment Seat of Christ coming and every Christian will be judged by Jesus Christ where we will be rewarded according to our works for our faithful service. Salvation has already been settled. He will reward us for what we have done for Him since accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. Will you be at the judgment seat of Christ for a reward or?
There is also a great White Throne Judgment Seat for everyone who will not have salvation because they have rejected Jesus Christ as Savior. They will not possess eternal life, but instead eternal death. At this time only their works will be judged, and no one will qualify because their works won’t measure up to the works of Christ. Everyone who fails this judgment will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
Is this the end you want for your life, to be eternally separated from God in a lake of fire that doesn’t quench and doesn’t destroy, just keeps you in eternal torment?
Now is the time to come to Him and ask Him to save you?
There is a process of repentance, faith, and salvation. We first must recognize what the Bible says about why we need repentance. The following verses explain the why:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” (Romans 10:13)
Then faith’s way of getting right with God says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart. And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth (speak it out loud) that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.”
Here is a prayer of Salvation if you truly believe it in your heart:
Dear Lord,
I admit that I am a sinner and have done many things that don’t please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent. I ask you to forgive me.
I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, help me to live every day for you and in a way that pleases you.
I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. Amen.
If you have prayed this prayer in honest faith, you will want to print off this prayer and write down your initials with the prayer along with today’s date and save it as a reminder that you have come to Christ in faith, trusting him as your Lord and Savior.
The Scriptures then tells us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” (Romans 10:5-13 NLT)
Now go out and find yourself a good friendly bible believing church and get involved. Personally, I have attended several denominations in my early years after accepting Jesus into my life but found the Baptist churches to be more balanced and bible based then other churches who add manmade doctrines. Just pray about where to go and let God guide you to a church because God does have a plan for you.
