The world is in chaos
Have you been experiencing extreme anxiety? The world is in chaos, and it looks like it is falling apart more and more every day. Even though there are many good people, it is very concerning what the future will be like. Research says that many people are expressing feelings of extreme anxiety!
People go to bed feeling anxious about all the conflict in the world. They wake up and catch themselves worrying, even terrified concerning the conflict going on around the world.
Negative circumstances such as the rise in crime, hatred in the hearts of so many, free speech is being taken away, people are also being ridiculed and chastised for their belief in God. There has been a total lack of respect for each other’s opinions and choices.
Fear, one of Satan’s most effective tools
The Bible says that worrying doesn’t accomplish anything positive but is a form of fear. It is one of Satan’s most effective tools for stealing your faith and joy in life.
Jesus said, “Can all your worries add anything to your life? Of course not! And if worry can’t do little things like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?” Luke 12:25-26 NLT
The truth is worrying affects only us
The truth is worrying affects only us. It steals sleep and distracts us from hearing God’s voice and promises of peace and joy. It clouds clear and sound thinking and often leads to irrational impulses!
Irritability will bring out the worst of our character; especially around those we love. It can cause stress that manifests itself as symptoms of sickness and also can lead to discouragement, depression, or even worse
A desire to isolate ourselves from others often creates a vacuum for Christians who would otherwise be a source of godly encouragement. They become discouraged by our lack of interaction with them.
God wants you around other Christians so He can guide them into reminding you of His intense love and care for you! Nothing good is produced without interaction with other believers who may be a tremendous help in extreme situations! God is our refuge and strength, and He will be there for you through every storm in your life.
The Israelites cried out to God
Let us take you to the story in Exodus. The Israelites cried out to God and He raised Moses to help them out from the most horrific repression under Pharaoh’s rule. Moses led them out of captivity with God miraculously leading them by a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day.
God divided the Red Sea and destroyed Pharaoh’s army. He rained down manna from heaven, supernatural angel food. He had Moses strike a rock to bring forth water from a rock.
The entire 40 years that they were in the desert, their clothes and footwear supernaturally lasted without wearing out. Even though God continuously provided for them they continued to worry, whine, and insult God with their unbelief.
However, God never left them, He continued to lead them. Their dysfunctional life without God, under slavery, contributed to their worries and bad mindsets. In actuality, God was actively and miraculously taking care of them the entire time.
It’s only because of God that Israel existed as a nation and people and then they had forgotten Him again! They worried and took it upon themselves to try and fix their problems. They moved away from the one who loved them to make themselves gods.
God is also taking care
God is also taking care of us right now, even in the dire straits the world is in. We can’t allow ourselves to regress, thinking like we used to before Jesus became our Savior. Our lives are new in Him! He is with us always!
The devil even now leads us to sin causing us to stray from God and become faithless and thankless toward God!
Read the Word of God and let them correct you and comfort you. They reveal that God wants you to lean on Him and not yourself. Get on your knees and begin to worship the Lord and pray. Tell the Lord that you are not going to let cares and worries have any place in your mind, imagination, or heart. Rebuke them in Jesus’ name. Refuse to let worry have any place in your life!
Thank the Lord
Instead, thank God for giving you a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. A sound mind is a worry-free mind! Thank the Lord that He loves you, cares for you, that He helps and protects you. Thank Him for blessing the work of your hands and providing for your every need.
Give Him thanks also for showing you and leading you to solutions for your life, for supernaturally working in the situations He doesn’t want you to handle yourself. Everything you have and every good thing in your life is because of Him. So, refuse to dishonor Him by worrying. Draw near in worship to Him because He is the one who loves and cares for you.
Conclusion
Worries may try to attack you, but when you let this be your heart and prayer, the clouds are fewer, the sun shines brightly, anxieties disappear, your heart is restored and refreshed, Joy takes over your life, and your faith is strengthened and revitalized! It’s His will for each one of us!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians. 4:6 (NIV)”
For those of you who do not know Jesus
If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer out loud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing loving Baptist Church so you may grow in your new life.
