I’ve been there done that, and that’s why I started this blog website to help people going through similar circumstances.

When circumstances of life make you feel hopeless, and it seems something is missing from your life, we’re here to encourage you and offer you a way up.
In my early years I also felt empty as though I was always missing something and kept searching for anything that would fill up the void. No matter what I did,
nothing changed and as things grew worse, I started to write poetry about death.

Below are 2 that I wrote and kept as reminders and examples of what I was going through so they may be a help to others.

THE RIVER OF LIFE

Drifting down the river of life,
I’m carried by the current’s whim,
like driftwood through rushing waters.
Upheaval and chaos fill cluttered mind,
oblivious to the sights and sounds.
Troubles come and troubles go,
unnoticed by those who stand and stare.
If they knew about this hurting heart,
would they offer to lend a hand,
to give a soft word in time of need,
or a gentle hug to show they care.
But alas I’m left alone to ponder,
what will be my journeys end,
as drifting down the river of life,
I’m carried by the current’s whim.

OH, MY SOUL WHY DO YOU CRY
Oh, my soul why do you cry?
I’m lonesome and forsaken,
life has not been kind to me.
Joy withdrawn; peace departed.

Laughter lost, no happy thoughts.
Thread of hope no longer there.
Cherished love now thrown away.
Emptiness, a heart in pain.

Light gone out, bringing blindness.
Longing for a gentle hug,
A soft touch, a sweet caress,
To be held, be loved again.

Soon my trials will be over,
I have reached the final strand.
Peace at last as sleep takes hold,
reaching out for journey’s end.

Oh, my soul why do you cry.

However, one day the answer came, and it changed my life. It was when I found Jesus Christ and accepted Him into my life. He brought comfort, and a joy I had never experienced before. He also gave me peace that you cannot get from this world. He will do the same for you if you will just open your heart and invite Him into your life.

Jesus died on the cross to give you power over all the attacks of the devil. You don’t have to have anxiety even if you’re going through the worst battle of your life. You can find peace today in Jesus Christ. You can choose to believe Him. NOTHING can hold you in bondage when you call on the name of Jesus! God sees so much more potential in you than what you see. You’re so much more amazing than what you think you are.
What are you hearing? God is speaking words of life to you that have the power to make ALL things possible.
When you commit to trust God, you can never be defeated. Make the right choice today!
If you are at the point in your life where you are ready to make a personal commitment to follow Christ, all you have to do is reach out to Him now in prayer. He is listening and waiting to come into your heart and help you live a better life. Will you invite Him in now? If you’d like to pray and receive Christ as your Savior, you can use this simple prayer as a guide:

PRAYER:

“Lord Jesus, I ask You to come into my life and forgive me of all my sins. I confess my sins before You this day. I denounce Satan and all his works. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. Thank You for saving me. I believe with my heart and I confess with my mouth that You rose from the dead. I am saved. Write my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Today is my God-day with the Lord Jesus! I pray this prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
