Move a Mountain by Faith
Walking by faith
As we study faith, our focus is on how to move a mountain by faith. “Jesus answered them. “Have faith in God. For truly I say to you. Whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them”. (Mark 11:22-24).
If Jesus Christ of Nazareth is our Lord and Savior, there is a spiritual force dwelling in us. That spiritual force is the God kind of faith or as some will say, “The faith of God” or “God’s faith.
It takes the same faith to be saved as it does to move a mountain (John 3:16 and Mark 11:23). In verse 23 it says “whoever”, and you are a “whoever” who can believe that God loved the world, can also believe you are able to move a mountain. If you believe in salvation, you can believe in moving mountains and believe in overcoming the world. “for whoever is born of God overcomes the world, and the victory that overcomes the world is our faith”. (1 John 5:4) MEV.
Faith is a gift from God to whoever has received Jesus Christ into their life. Faith can grow, “We are bound to thank God always for you, brothers, as it is fitting; because your faith is growing abundantly…” (2 Thessalonians 1:3) MEV. The faith of God was planted into your spirit at the time of your new birth—at the time you accepted Jesus as Lord.
Using the faith in God
You used faith in God for salvation and you received the grace of God. Faith is the spiritual, creative force of God that’s inside your born-again spirit. You must trust God if you want your faith to work.
When you refuse to compromise God’s Word, faith will work in you. Faith in God is an act of your will, “Jesus said to him, “Thomas; because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen yet.” believed (John 20:29). In every situation you must believe and act on exactly what God says about your situation. Faith is embedded inside God’s Word and will work every time according to your faith.
Use your faith in choosing to alter your lifestyle to fit His Word, not His Word to fit your lifestyle. You are alive with Jesus, and His Word lives in you (1 Peter 1:23). Faith without corresponding action is dead “But do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:20) MEV. Believe God’s Word, speak what you believe for, then act on what in your heart you have faith for. Your answer is in God’s Word, so decide that you will find it.
Act on God’s Word until it happens, until you win the victory. Anyone who doesn’t compromise the Word of God, who stays before God in worship, and who stays in His Word will find a time when releasing your faith, you will be victorious.
Release your faith with your words.
Be very mindful about how you speak, because your words can release your faith or have your mind messed up by opening the door to the devil. If you’re constantly speaking negative words against something, no matter how much of a commitment you make to release your faith, words against it will come out of your mouth. You must repent of those words and speak according to God’s Word.
Believe in your heart, say with your mouth, and do a corresponding action. You’ll see the answer to what you believe for when you release faith. Don’t be moved by what you see and feel instead of believing God’s Word. The double-minded man is tossed back and forth (James 1:8). He doesn’t believe God’s Word long enough for it to be established in his life. “For we walk by faith and not by sight”. (2 Corinthians 5:7).
You should refuse to say anything about a situation except what God’s Word says. If you say something long enough, it will get into your heart and change your life. Life’s only solid foundation is found in the Word of faith which is the Word of God. We need to act on the Word and never quit. Quitting is not an option.
If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Prayer of Salvation
God loves you so much, and He’s offering you an abundant life that is full of vision here on earth and eternal life with Him in Heaven.
The cross of Jesus is your path to His great redemption plan for you, a plan to bring you into a personal relationship with Him. He’s
ready to come into your life and help you make a change if you want Him to.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer aloud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing loving church so you may grow in your new life.
