Hearing Strengthens Faith
Faith comes from hearing
If you are a born-again believer, then you have also received the faith of God into your heart. Faith from hearing the Word resulted in you believing it, accepting it, and then being born again of the Spirit of God. “So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” (Romans 10:17) MEV. The more you hear the Word of God the stronger your faith will be.
However, for your faith to grow you must be fed continually by the Word of God, “But He answered and said, “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”, (Matthew 4:4) MEV.
When you spend time hearing the Word, faith comes automatically and results in growth. It will increase, as you continue in God’s Word and keep from speaking anything contrary to His Word.
Understand faith
To understand faith, we look at Jesus’ teaching about faith. “Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God, for truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefore, I say to you, whatever things you ask for when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them” (Mark 11:22-24) MEV.
If you put what the Word says into action, you will advance from limited faith to faith that will move mountains. You must believe in your heart that what you say will happen, so, you finish the prayer by saying “I believe the Word and I receive the answer.”
Speak out and never quit
In (Mark 11:22-24) Jesus’ primary emphasis is on speaking to the mountain (a mountain here symbolizes anything that is a problem or challenge that needs to be removed).
The secondary emphasis in this situation is on believing; believing without speaking won’t work and speaking and not believing won’t work either. Both have to be used for successful results to be manifested.
You need to say what you want, even when it comes to saying good things about yourself. We all have times when we speak badly about ourselves, putting ourselves down instead of lifting our attitudes up.
You know the old saying “You get what you say”, well it’s true, you put yourself or others down all the time, eventually you will come believe it’s true and you will change for the worse. Be positive even when it’s hard to do so. Cast down negative thoughts, speech and actions and confess them to God asking for forgiveness.
Speak from faith, not fear
Believers have the right to speak into existence things that are not, as though they already are. But they can either speak from fear or from faith. Speaking from fear instead of faith, they fail to realize they are destined to making what they fear, happen, to become a reality, because they will have what they say.
Things operate by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, or by the law of sin and death. The laws can’t be changed, every time you speak your words release the power of faith or fear. Fear is faith in the law of sin and death.
Faith is belief
Faith is belief that God will do what He said He will do. The law of words carries with it power and integrity. You have to make a decision to believe even when you don’t see the end results. Jesus said that those who see by faith, without seeing in the natural, are blessed.
When you say something that is not Word based, stop, cast it down and bring it to God so you can correct yourself and speak faith in every situation. When you pray believe it, receive it and determine to speak it by faith, not doubt.
Prayer of Salvation
God loves you so much, and He’s offering you an abundant life that is full of vision here on earth and eternal life with Him in Heaven. The cross of Jesus is your path to His great redemption plan for you, a plan to bring you into a personal relationship with Him. He’s ready to come into your life and help you make a change if you want Him to. If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now
is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer aloud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing loving church so you may grow in your new life.
