Faith and Righteousness
Conscious attitude of sin
Your sins have already been forgotten by God, and He’s never going to bring them up to you unless it’s necessary to convict you when you are persistent in pursuing those same sins over and over again. He loves you.
It takes confidence to live by faith and God wants to get you to the place where you exhibit a righteousness consciousness in your life.
Faith comes by hearing
“So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) MEV. You have to listen. “Concerning this we have much to say that is hard to explain, since you have become hard of hearing.” (Hebrews 5:11) MEV. When you are “hard of hearing”, it means you are not listening with an open heart.
“As newborn babies, desire the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow,” (1 Peter 2:2) MEV.
“Everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food belongs to those who are mature, for those who through practice have powers of discernment that are trained to distinguish good and evil” (Hebrews 5:13-14) MEV.
That’s about growing up spiritually, becoming righteousness minded.
Our righteousness is as filthy rags
The word states that our righteousness is as filthy rags. “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness is as filthy rags…” (Isaiah 64:6) MEV. We don’t have any righteousness. “There is none righteous, no, not one; (Romans 3:10) MEV.
Jesus never committed sin, and we never committed righteousness. However, He was made sin with our sin, and we were made righteous with His righteousness.
Our lack of righteousness has been fulfilled by Christ because we have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).
He is King over us! Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. We’ve been made kings and priests unto our God, because we are righteous in Him (Romans 5:17).
Believing unto righteousness
“But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, this is the word of faith that we preach) that if you confess with your mouth
Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:8-10) MEV.
You shall be born again. You shall be re-created.
It’s a wonderful new way of thinking to be conscious of the righteousness God has given you! Righteousness is what the Bible and this ministry are about.
Do you want to feel worthy and righteous again?
If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer out loud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing loving Baptist Church so you may grow in your new life.
