Every human problem stems from sin
Without spiritual fulfillment
God created man with a human spirit and this spirit gives life to our bodies making us eternal souls. Without spiritual fulfillment, we can only survive physically for a while but eventually it begins to destroy us. Every human problem stems from sin. The underlying cause of feelings of inferiority to severe emotional disorders is a result of sin. Sin can even be at the root of problems when physical challenges appear to be the cause. However, you can receive spiritual fulfillment when you accept Jesus Christ into your life, and you are given the gift His Holy Spirit and eternal life with Him.
Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Sin and Satan’s influence are the ultimate sources however this doesn’t always mean the person is actively sinning. We need to understand that all human problems arise from sin and its destructive principles.
Sin will disconnect us from God
Sin will disconnect us from God, leading to a sense of worthlessness. We naturally feel inferior, and this feeling often results in problems like addiction, sexual sins, and other struggles. Trying to fill the void with other things won’t work because our spiritual nature needs God.
We must come to recognize the impact of sin on our life and how we really need to surrender to God. Only then will we be able to overcome the destructive behavior that is ruining our life.
Jesus Christ and His redemption plan
We need Jesus Christ and His redemption plan where only faith in God alone can give us the true uplifting freedom from sin. When sin is removed, faith then becomes the opposing force to sin. Without true faith in God, we will always be open to other forms of remedies, often with negative results. False religions, cults, and New Age philosophies creep in and usually focus on human mental powers but eventually lead to distortions. Spirituality, whether true or false, gives meaning to our existence but without faith in God, it’s impossible to survive life’s challenges.
The Prodigal Son
Jesus told a story about a prodigal son who left his father’s secure home to live a rebellious life. “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. He wasted all his money, became hungry. So, he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
Eventually, he realized his sin and altered course. He had known authority and privilege but was now dressed in rags. He was living as a common slave. This was a young man who lost his way and forgot who he was. He regained his sanity, remembered who he was, and he coming to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!’” (Luke 15:13-17). He decided to go back home, and He left the pigs behind, saying, “I’m going home to my father’s house.”
Recognize sin and rebellion
When we recognize sin and rebellion against God’s ways, we will stop trying to create our own self-ordained methods. These efforts may seem harmless when we ignore the power of sin and Satan. It doesn’t matter what method you call it; it still remains ineffective until you realize sin is the root of all human problems. If sin is the root, then the solution is straightforward. Jesus Christ Is the Solution and when He addresses sin, the problem will be resolved.
Jesus came to make us whole
Jesus came to make us whole. Whether it was blindness, deafness, or the effects of leprosy, every human problem was ultimately addressed by His miracles. Humanity was lifted up to a higher calling that of bringing glory to God. We are His special creation.
The Kingdom of God consists of sons and daughters who share His divine nature, having received His healing grace, and are raised to sit in Heavenly places with Christ Jesus. “And has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).
One of the best things about being truly saved and becoming part of Jesus Christ’s family is gaining an understanding that we are no longer worthless, nobody, but we are now the children of God all because of His redemptive power.
We will triumph over sin
Our destiny is not to be defeated by sin and Satan’s deception, which we will deal with sin as long as we are in the flesh, but God sent His Son to take away our sin. “And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin” (1 John 3:5). We will triumph over sin daily as we cling to Him and live in the power of the Holy Spirit. “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that lives in you” (Romans 8:10-11). Living victoriously in Christ will elevate your worth. True worth is found in Him. Jesus said, “Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Luke 12:7b).
Do you want to feel worthy and useful again? NOW is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer out loud from your heart.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
