Our faith is developed in the authority of the Name of Jesus, and it is of vital importance if we want to acquire results in the kingdom of God and against the kingdom of darkness.

Faith in God and in the Name of Jesus comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Jesus, who lives in us through His Holy Spirit, is greater than he (Satan) that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

Faith in the name of Jesus

The Name of Jesus has become way too familiar to believers and to unbelievers as well, both use His name indiscriminately and for unbelievers it’s used as curse words. It’s possible as believers to use His name but have no faith (which is from the heart) there is only mental agreement which is not faith.

If you have no faith in the name of Jesus, there will definitely be no results, it doesn’t matter how much or what you pray for it will be futile. The more faith you have from the heart in the name of Jesus, the more results you will have. With a lot of faith, you’ll have amazing victories.

Faith is a vital part of your spirit

Faith became yours the moment you received Jesus as Savior and Lord, and you were born again and also became a vital part of your spirit. The word of God also brought faith when you received Jesus as your Savior.

It was through faith in God’s Word that you were born again by grace. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one should boast, (Ephesians 2:8) MEV. Both grace and faith are the gift of God implanted in your spirit at the time of your new birth.

Faith nourishes strength

Everything God created was designed to be nourished, and the food He has provided is through His Word which is able to build up your faith. “As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving” (Colossians 2:6-7) MEV.

Just as the physical body is nourished with physical food, the Spirit has to be nourished with spiritual food which produces strength. As the energy is used up in your body, it’s necessary to replace the energy with physical food.

The same thing is true of your spirit. Faith is your spiritual strength, and it comes by feeding on the Word of God, by hearing it. “Your words were found, and I ate them. And your word became to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord God of Hosts (Jeremiah 15:16) MEV. As you use your faith, it too gets used up and must be replenished.

When you try to use your faith, you’re not getting results that’s the sign your spirit needs spiritual food. It means you have neglected getting into the word to feed your spirit which resulted in you becoming weak in your faith.

Faith and the will of God

When Adam sinned, he lost his supernatural communication with God. On the day of Pentecost, those supernatural signs returned! The supernatural signs that follow preaching have to do with the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13).

Jesus told us to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. But he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16) MEV.

 “These signs will accompany those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demon; they will speak with new tongues; (even speaking in tongues has to do with the curse of the law) they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and the sick WILL recover, (not might recover, here is proof of the will of God concerning healing, the sick WILL RECOVER it’s just a matter of where we are in our faith, do we have great faith or little faith. If you say when you pray ‘Lord if it be your will then you have an element of doubt about being healed and when you doubt healing will not come (Mark 16:17-18) MEV.

Jesus’ name brought healing

There was a lame man laying at the gate to the temple asking for alms. When the lame man saw Peter and John again, he recognized them as they apparently had been in the temple on a previous occasion. He expected to receive something from them, just like the other times (Acts 3:1-16).

Peter said to him, “I have something to give you.” Peter didn’t pray. He just spoke, “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Peter took the man’s hand, lifted him up and immediately the man’s bones received strength. He was able to walk and jump. It was faith in the name of Jesus that Peter used to heal the lame man.

 Because this miraculous sign was done in public the people wanted to know how it happened. Peter answered, “It’s not our power or holiness that made this man walk, but it’s the Name of Jesus, and faith in the Name of Jesus that made this man strong.”

Faith worked for Peter because he was a believer not because he was an apostle, and he used the name of Jesus which name has power and authority. If you are a believer, you have that same power and authority, the question is, do you have the same strong faith or little faith.

Jesus said in John 14:12-14 MEV; “Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me will do the works that I do also. And he will do greater works than these, because I am going to My Father. I will do whatever you ask in My name, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
