Attend to My Words
Attend to My Words
“To attend” means “to listen and obey.” Listen to what his word has to say to you. “Incline your ear unto My sayings” (Proverbs 4:20). The Word of God must be first place and final authority in our lives (Proverbs 4:20-24).
All of God’s Words are called the Word of God. God said, “Attend to My Words” (Proverbs 4:20). Make up your mind that the Word of God is speaking to you.
God’s Words are life to those who find them, meditate on them, and see yourselves with them in your life. Read His Word and let Him reveal to you what it means in your life. Let the Word not depart from your eyes (Proverbs 4:21).
Keep your heart
“Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life, they are the forces of life” (Proverbs 4:23). Allow the Word to imbed itself into your heart. Don’t think about anything else, make the Word top priority.
Let God be the last one you talk to at night and the first one you talk to in the morning. Don’t ever judge the Word of God; let it judge you.
People have said, “I tried that faith stuff, and it didn’t work.” No, that faith stuff tried them, and they failed to allow it to work because of their unbelief. They tried it with their mind and not with faith from their heart.
God’s Word is life
“You can have what it says you can have, and you can do what it says you can do, when you do it by faith. You are what it says you are. you are in Christ Jesus and He is in you. The words Jesus speaks to you, they are Spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
God’s Word is life to your spirit, your mind, your emotions and your physical body.” God’s Word is health or medicine to all our flesh (Proverbs 4:22).
It doesn’t do you any good for your bible to sit on your coffee table or on a shelf. You have to get the word into your spirit where it comes alive.
“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). That’s revelation from God coming alive on the inside of us.
Watch your mouth
Put away a disobedient mouth (Proverbs 4:24). Get rid of all negative and evil speaking and speak only God’s Word which is able to uplift and encourage yourself and others.
Your spirit is like a big fountain with a very strong flow, that flow is Gods glory and power. No trash can stay in it as long as the access is clean and not cluttered with sin and lack of forgiveness, so the glory and power of God continue flowing.
But if your spirit is full of forgotten sins and lack of forgiveness, they will prevent His glory and power from coming to you. So, if that’s happening to you, it’s time to start confessing and forgiving everyone you could think of in order to open up access to your spirit.
Declare this:
“I choose to read God’s Word daily and listen for Him to reveal what it says to me. I know God will do it. I repent for every sin, and I forgive anyone and everyone who has wronged me. I choose a life with God. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.”
