Solid Foundation of Faith
Dependence upon the foundation
Every Christian life is dependent upon its foundation. This foundation is crucial for building your spirit, and your walk with Jesus Christ.
It takes time to build a solid foundation. It takes reading, hearing, studying, meditation, prayer, and action (applying the Word to your life) to overcome the evils in the world, and for victory to be realized.
A life built on the sand of the world, a person’s performance, wealth, or stature will not stand during the storms of life. The foundation of every life must be built on a solid rock. “Whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock”. (Matthew 7:24) MEV.
Knowledge of God’s Word
Knowledge of God’s Word is the rock Jesus refers to on which the Church is built! (Matthew 16:13-18).
The Holy Spirit of God imparts revelation knowledge to your spirit. This is how God works with your spirit. Your spirit and your soul are two different entities. You are a spirit being, and you have a soul. ” May the very God of peace sanctify you completely. And I pray to God that your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23) MEV.
Your soul encompasses your mind, will, and emotions. Your spirit and your soul live in a flesh body and are the parts of you that were born again not of corruptible seed, but by the Word of God which lives forever. “For you have been born again, not from perishable seed, but imperishable, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.” (1 Peter 1:23) MEV.
You are a born-again new creature, “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Look, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) MEV.
The Holy Spirit, your teacher
The Holy Spirit was sent to be your teacher if you allow Him to do His job. He reveals to your spirit the Word of God which God wants you to apply to your life for growth in the Word. “But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have told you.” (John 14:26) MEV.
The Word of God is a blood-sworn, blood-backed oath and covenant, just as much a manifestation in the earth as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You receive revelation knowledge when you hear God’s Word preached and that preaching is under the Anointing of the Spirit of God.
Perhaps you remember it happening to you: A scripture you’ve read over and over suddenly comes alive to you, and you see it! That’s the Holy Spirit revealing it to you because that is when that Word was needed for a specific time in your life.
Conclusion
Revealed knowledge produces faith which doesn’t just come by hearing, but faith comes when a revelation born in your spirit leading to a change in direction!
Maybe the Holy Spirit is talking to you right now. If you are a born-again believer, then it’s about a change a new avenue of growth you suppose to take.
If you are not a believer, then the Holy Spirit is convicting you of the need to change your life to a new life by receiving Jesus Christ as your savior.
Do you want to feel worthy and useful again?
If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your heart. Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life speak the following prayer aloud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing loving church so you may grow in your new life.
In the meantime, here is a good Christian site to learn more about being a Christian, let them know that you have accepted Jesus into your life, and they will send you more information on your walk with Jesus.
